The One Show star Alex Jones receives seat naming honour at Snowdon Mountain Railway
November 4, 2019
The One Show star Alex Jones received a rather odd leaving present as she headed off on maternity leave last week. The TV presenter, 42, said a temporary goodbye on April 26th and was told that, as a parting maternity gift, she now has a train seat named after her at Snowdon Mountain Railway.
The show aired an old clip of Alex commenting that there wasn’t a Welsh train carriage bearing her name – an honour enjoyed by Welsh legends including Katherine Jenkins and Dame Shirley Bassey.
It was then revealed on the show that they had managed to pull some strings and get her name added to a train on the Snowdon Mountain Railway – albeit just a seat!
