Isle of Wight wins Best UK Destination at Group Leisure & Travel Awards

The Isle of Wight won the award for Best UK Destination for Group Travel, for a second year in a row, at the Group Leisure & Travel Awards held at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London.
Will Myles, MD of Visit Isle of Wight, said: “This is great news not only for Visit Isle of Wight, but for all of the Island businesses that deliver such a great service for groups, including the transport providers to, from, and on the Island.”
Amy Summers MBA, Sustainable Travel, Trade and Exhibitions Manager, added: “I’m honoured to accept this award alongside Will on behalf of the Island for a second year in a row. The groups market is key for the Island, and we have been working hard to enhance our promotion and meet with trade organisations to make sure the Island continues to be a first choice destination for group travel.
“My continued thanks to the exhibitions partnership for supporting us with the shared vision to promote the Island, and a final thanks to everyone that voted for us.”
Heritage Great Britain operates 2 attractions on the Isle of Wight with The Needles Landmark Attraction in Alum Bay and Sandham Gardens in Sandown.
