Snowdon Mountain Railway enables visitors to travel in comfort and style to the summit of Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales and England.
- Located in North Wales, the Snowdon Mountain Railway is the UK’s only public rack and pinion railway with diesel and heritage steam travel options.
- Beginning at Llanberis station, the route passes through woodland and crosses rivers before beginning the 3,560ft ascent to the peak.
- On reaching the summit, visitors have a 30-minute stay at the dynamic visitor centre – ‘Hafod Eryri’ – where they can grab a bite to eat and enjoy captivating panoramic views.
- Hafod Eryri is a uniquely designed, RIBA award-winning granite structure, offering spectacular views from the wall of glass at its front. It acts as a terminus for the railway, providing refreshment and giving visitors a chance to learn about the fascinating history of the mountain.
